Conference bagpacking to raise funds!Saturday morning the 15th of August at The Star, where volunteers from Youth Music Venture pack the Conference bags for the Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference in exchange for a substantial donation, huge thank you! GLOBAL VIDEO EDITING AWARD - HUGE CONGRATULATIONS!Thanks to our amazing videographer Dave Emge, whose both kids have done the program, Youth Music Venture has reached the other side of the world!When Experience Gold Coast personnel suggested we enter the Global “Koala meets Panda” video competition, by the time we established the deadline we initially thought it was impossible, with only days to go!But in true “never say die” YMV fashion, our wonderful video man Dave Emge, Chengdu band drummer Ace Hurman and Founder Ian Grace worked right through the weekend, determined to make it!The scripting, the voicing and the filming itself were repeated time and again until we felt it was right, but then came the hardest part, wading through literally hundreds of photos and videos from our 1st Prize trip to Chengdu in 2024 and editing out a tight 3 minute video.All credit to Dave Emge who did just that, a magnificent job with an equal 2nd Prize - Best Editing Award!And it gets better - the best part is that the acceptance speech video plugging Youth Music Venture and Gold Coast Australia, was shown at the Global Awards Ceremony in London, UK!How many others do you know who can truly say they have won a Global Award, reaching to the other side of the world!Massive congratulations Dave Emge!Pictured are the Team - Ace Hurman, Dave Emge with his Award, Ian Grace, with Koala and Panda sent all the way from Chengdu! ...
